Domaine Vincent Dureuil-Janthial — Precision and purity in Rully
Based in Rully, in the Côte Chalonnaise, Domaine Vincent Dureuil-Janthial has become a cult name through meticulous work, integrity, and a laser focus on terroir expression.
A descendant of a long line of winegrowers, Vincent has lifted his domaine to the very top of Burgundy, producing both whites and reds that rival the region’s finest.
Philosophy and winemaking
The vineyards are certified organic, with deep respect for soil life and vine health. Harvesting is done by hand, with strict sorting and separate vinification for each parcel.
Fermentations use native yeasts, with gentle extraction and aging in oak (moderate new wood), aiming to polish the wines without masking their identity. The style is clean, bright, and full of energy.
Wine style
The whites, mostly Chardonnay, are taut, mineral, and electric, showing remarkable clarity and depth for the Côte Chalonnaise. The reds, made from Pinot Noir, are perfumed, delicate, and silky.
All wines are defined by purity, tension, and precision, with excellent aging potential.
