Domaine François Lumpp – The Authentic Expression of Givry

A Committed Family Estate
Established in Givry since 1977, François Lumpp founded his own estate in 1991. Today, he is joined by his wife Isabelle, his son Pierre, and his daughter Anne-Cécile. Together, they cultivate about 9.5 hectares of vines using sustainable practices, respecting the lunar calendar for interventions in the cellar.

Exceptional Terroirs in Côte Chalonnaise
The vines are planted on plots of Givry 1er Cru, including "A Vigne Rouge," "Crausot," "Clos Jus," and "Clos du Cras Long," as well as village cuvées such as "Teppes de Chenevès." The clay-limestone soils give the wines a beautiful minerality and an elegant structure.

Careful Viticulture & Precise Aging
The estate practices sustainable viticulture, with manual harvesting and rigorous sorting. The wines are aged in French oak barrels (30% new barrels), with aging from 12 to 18 months depending on the cuvées. This approach preserves the purity of the fruit while adding complexity and aging potential.

Style: Finesse, Balance & Aging Potential
The red wines have a beautiful tannic structure, aromas of red and black fruits, with spicy and woody notes. The whites, in Chardonnay, offer a beautiful freshness, marked minerality, and a silky texture. These wines are designed to be enjoyed young or to age in the cellar for 8 to 15 years depending on the cuvées.
