Located in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, Domaine Morey-Coffinet is one of the rising stars of the Côte de Beaune. Under the leadership of Thibault Morey, the estate has evolved into a benchmark for pure, expressive Chardonnay from limestone-rich soils, balancing tradition with a fresh, dynamic energy.

A new generation seeking clarity

Thibault Morey, son of Michel Morey, brings a thoughtful, sensitive approach to winemaking. Since converting to organic farming in 2010, he has embraced gentle vinification methods and extended aging, aiming to express terroir with precision and restraint. Every cuvée is a reflection of place and time.

Farming and winemaking

Certified organic, the vineyard is farmed with respect and minimal intervention. Soils are ploughed, yields are kept low, and harvests are done by hand. Natural fermentations and careful oak aging (with minimal new wood) allow each wine to speak clearly. Sulfites are used sparingly, only when necessary.

These wines are defined by their luminous energy, stony minerality and refined texture. Aromatics often show citrus peel, wet stone, acacia and toasted almond. The palate is focused, fresh, and saline, with great length and aging potential.
