Located in the Jumilla region, Bodegas y Viñedos de Murcia is a small winery that values Mediterranean terroirs through powerful yet well-balanced wines. The house has gained growing recognition thanks to well-constructed vintages, using the IGP Jumilla to highlight a free and expressive style.
The estate focuses on small-scale quality. The winemaking is carefully conducted in stainless steel tanks with temperature control and sometimes in barrels to bring roundness and complexity. Indigenous grape varieties (Monastrell) are often blended with international ones (Petit Verdot or Cabernet Sauvignon) in a Mediterranean yet sophisticated style.
Pico Madama: a blend of Petit Verdot and Monastrell, intensely fruity with a nice freshness.
Sierra Carche: Monastrell dominant, concentrated and spicy, aged about 13 months in barrels.
Other rare vintages/old vintages available are sometimes offered by collectors.
Murcia wines are rich, dense, with notes of ripe black fruits, spices, and a fleshy structure. Very accessible, their alcohol content is around 14%, with a balancing freshness for aging. Some vintages, notably 2004 and 2005, have received high ratings (up to 96/100 WA)
