A visionary winemaker

Since 1998, David Léclapart has been managing a family estate of 3 hectares in Trépail, in the Montagne de Reims, dedicated to biodynamics and an ultra-confidential production, tirelessly devoted to the purity of the terroir .

Terroir & grape varieties

The vineyard consists of 22 plots planted mainly with Chardonnay (≈ 90 %) and some Pinot Noir/Meunier on marl-limestone soils. The natural fermentations with indigenous yeasts, at low temperatures, in enamel tanks or second-hand barrels, follow a zero dosage approach .

Style: purity, energy, saline complexity

The Champagnes (L’Amateur, L’Artiste, L’Aphrodisiaque…) are distinguished by incisive minerality, vibrant tension, and crystalline precision. Each cuvée is a micro-vintage with high expressiveness of the soil and the vintage .

Iconic cuvées

  • L’Amateur (base cuvée): light effervescence, subtle intensity, accessible and purist.

  • L’Artiste: 100% Chardonnay from Trépail, fermented in barrel + stainless steel, tactile profile and fine tension.

  • L’Aphrodisiaque: Chardonnay/Pinot Noir blend aged in barrels, sophisticated aromatic (citrus, ripe fruits, brioche), formidable length.

Philosophy: living terroir and authenticity

Certified biodynamic since 2000, Léclapart favors manual harvesting, almost zero sulfites, zero dosage, long aging on lees. He rejects artifacts, seeking to faithfully convey the climate, the land, and natural cycles
