A discreet gem crafted by the de Bouard de Laforest family
Château La Fleur‑Pétrus belongs to the de Bouard de Laforest family and is currently managed by Pierre-Antoine de Bouard, supported by his son Louis de Bouard (manager) and the oenologist Martin Craig, to enhance the finesse, elegance, and depth of this exceptional terroir. As its name suggests, the estate is located between Lafleur and Pétrus.
Terroir & grape varieties: fine gravel and southern expression
The 10-hectare vineyard extends over fine gravel on clay subsoil. The grape composition is dominated by Merlot (~90%), accompanied by Cabernet Franc (~10%), offering the aromatic elegance and delicate tannic structure typical of Pomerol.
Viticulture & philosophy: micro-terroir, rigor, and elegance
Sustainable viticulture, rigorous sorting in the vineyard, manual harvesting by plot. The approach aims for fruit precision, terroir purity, and natural balance without excessive inputs.
Vinification & aging: silky finesse and controlled wood
Micro-plot vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats, macerations of 3 to 4 weeks. Aging for 16 months in French barrels (~60% new), aiming for harmony between structure, aromatic delicacy, and saline length.

– Les Jardins de La Fleur‑Pétrus: second wine, more accessible and fruity, ready to drink young, while maintaining elegance and typicity.
