Foundation and Family History
Founded in 1982 by Gustav and Naoko Dalla Valle, this family estate has been cultivating excellence since its first vintage in 1986. After Gustav's passing in 1995, Naoko, supported by their daughter Maya, infused an ambitious and sustainable vision into the operation .
An Exceptional Terroir
Planted on 8 hectares of east-facing slopes (120–140 meters in altitude), the estate rests on volcanic soils rich in iron, with optimal drainage and the refreshing influence of the San Pablo Bay. A perfect geological signature for Cabernet Sauvignon & Franc .
Style: Structured Power, Mineral Elegance
The wines (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Collina blends, and the legendary "Maya" cuvée) combine concentration, lively acidity, fine tannins, and aromatic depth: dark fruits, graphite, spicy accents. Some vintages reach excellence (100/100) .
Iconic Cuvées
Maya: a Cabernet Sauvignon & Franc blend, marked by intensity and age.
Dalla Valle Cabernet Sauvignon: a single-varietal with fine balance, powerful fruitiness.
Collina: a more accessible second wine, from young vines.
Philosophy and Practices
Cultivated organically since 2007 and biodynamically from 2019, each plot receives meticulous care: manual harvesting, native fermentations, use of amphorae, aging in French barrels. The team (Naoko, Maya, Andy Erickson, Michel Rolland) aims for quality worthy of the First Growths .
