Straddling between Chassagne-Montrachet and Pommard, the Domaine Armand Heitz embodies a new Burgundian generation: ambitious, responsible, and intensely attached to the notion of terroir. Heir to the prestigious Domaine Heitz-Lochardet, Armand Heitz has been leading a silent revolution since 2012 by combining regenerative viticulture, precision in aging, and an uncomplexed vision of Burgundy.
Terroir & philosophy
The estate now extends over a mosaic of prestigious plots: Meursault, Volnay, Chassagne, Pommard, and even Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru. Each terroir is worked in organic and biodynamic agriculture, with advanced agroecological practices (polyculture, livestock, cover crops). The goal: restore soil life and produce expressive, digestible wines rooted in their place.
Vinification & style
The vinifications are low intervention: manual harvesting, indigenous yeasts, gentle macerations, precise aging without excess new wood. Armand Heitz seeks to convey finesse rather than demonstration. The result? Wines of great purity, with elegant textures, vibrant energy, capable of seducing both connoisseurs and aesthetes.
Iconic cuvées
Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru “Morgeot”: ample, chiseled, with a racy minerality.
Pommard “Clos des Poutures” Monopole: exclusive, deep, structured without rigidity.
Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru: rare, vertical, saline – the quintessence of Chardonnay.
Cuvée “Les Vignes d’Armand”: selection of accessible plots, but always signed.
Volnay 1er Cru “Taillepieds”: silky, floral, with great precision.
