Cotes Catalanes 'Coume Gineste' 2001 - Domaine Gauby
Cotes Catalanes 'Coume Gineste' 2001 - Domaine Gauby
Grape varieties: Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc (90-year-old vines)
Coume Gineste is the estate’s flagship white cuvée.
Appearance: Deep golden yellow with amber highlights – a notable evolution with age.
Nose: Highly expressive, blending ripe exotic fruits (candied pineapple, mango), dried flowers (broom, fennel), and honeyed and mineral notes (flint).
Palate: Both broad and tense, with a well-defined mineral backbone. Flavors of dried fruits (apricot, hazelnut), sweet spices, and beeswax unfold into a long, saline, and slightly oxidative (yet noble) finish.
