Description
The color is brilliantly clear. The nose strikes a balance between the minerality of a Chablis and the richness of a Savennières on the palate. As it opens up, aromas of dried herbs, grey pepper, and graphite emerge. The palate is finely chiseled yet maintains a pleasing roundness. Beneath its fresh, almost northern flavors, there is a subtle texture and impressive length, finishing on delicate bitters. The mineral persistence is superb.
Roc d'Anglade blanc is a blend of Chenin Blanc (50%), Chardonnay (35%), Grenache Blanc and Grenache Gris (15%) and Carignan Blanc with an average age of 20 years.
