Domaine Pierre Damoy — Intensity and heritage in the Côte de Nuits
Located in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Pierre Damoy is a discreet yet revered estate producing some of Burgundy’s most powerful and age-worthy wines. Since 1992, Pierre Damoy has led the domaine with an intuitive, uncompromising approach and a deep respect for his exceptional terroirs.
The estate holds significant parcels in legendary Grand Crus, including rare monopoles. With meticulous vineyard care and a precise, natural philosophy, Damoy seeks full phenolic maturity to craft intensely expressive Pinot Noirs.
Philosophy and winemaking
Vineyards are farmed sustainably with close attention to yield and vine health. Grapes are harvested by hand and rigorously sorted. In the cellar, fermentations are traditional and low-intervention, with long macerations and aging in tailored oak barrels, often with little to no new wood depending on the vintage.
Wine style
Damoy’s wines are bold, structured, and concentrated, with ripe black fruit, truffle, spice, and forest floor aromas. They offer depth, freshness, and serious aging potential, yet show remarkable finesse and balance after a few years in bottle.
