Domaine Ganevat – The Boldness and Purity of Jura Wines
Domaine Ganevat is one of the most emblematic in Jura, recognized for its innovative approach and quest for absolute purity in its wines. Located in Rotalier, the estate is managed biodynamically over more than 10 hectares, cultivating a multitude of Jura grape varieties and some rarer varieties, which gives its wines incredible aromatic and structural diversity.
The philosophy of the estate is based on a deep respect for nature and the soil, with meticulous viticultural practices that promote biodiversity and the expression of the terroir. The vines are worked without chemical products, with carefully sorted manual harvesting. Each plot is vinified separately to preserve the uniqueness of the different Jura terroirs.
The winemaking is 100% natural, without the addition of commercial yeasts or sulfites, or with very low doses. Spontaneous fermentations in stainless steel tanks, barrels, or amphorae result in lively, vibrant, and often surprising wines, combining freshness, minerality, tension, and complexity. The aging varies according to the cuvées, ranging from a few months to several years, with precise monitoring to reveal the best potential of the grapes.
The wines of Domaine Ganevat are renowned for their originality, finesse, and longevity. They offer a wide aromatic palette, mixing fresh fruits, spices, flowers, wild herbs, and sometimes controlled oxidative notes. Whether white, red, yellow, or even sparkling wines, each bottle tells a unique story of the richness of Jura.
