Description
The Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Combottes 2015 from Domaine Arlaud has a deep, luminous ruby color. The nose is complex, dominated by aromas of ripe dark fruits (blackberry, black cherry), complemented by subtle spicy and floral notes (violet, pepper). On the palate, the attack is smooth, quickly followed by a tannic structure that is present yet velvety. Flavors of dark fruits are intertwined with slight smoky and woody touches, adding depth. The finish is long and elegant, with a refreshing balance to the richness of the wine. A 1er Cru that combines power and finesse, with excellent aging potential.
