Domaine Etienne Sauzet – The Summit of Chardonnay in Côte de Beaune

History & Family Philosophy
Founded at the beginning of the 20th century, Domaine Etienne Sauzet is located in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet. Passed down within the same family, it is now managed with passion and rigor, aiming to express each terroir in its authenticity.

Remarkable and Extensive Vineyard
The estate covers about 14 hectares of vines exclusively planted with Chardonnay, spread from Puligny village to the famous 1er Crus (Folatieres, Les Perrières, Champ Canet…) and Grands Crus (Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet). Each plot is carefully worked to preserve the minerality and balance.

Respectful Viticulture & Sorted Harvests
The management is precise: worked soils, controlled grassing, limited treatments. The harvest is manual with a rigorous sorting of the bunches, ensuring perfectly healthy grapes in the winery.

Traditional Vinification & Measured Aging
The wines are vinified in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks, with a variable proportion of barrels depending on the cuvées. The aging generally lasts 12 to 16 months, with a moderate dosage of new wood, to bring complexity and texture while preserving the purity of the fruit.

Signature Style: Purity, Finesse, and Mineral Elegance
The wines of the estate offer a clear aromatic expression (citrus, white flowers, yellow fruits), supported by refined salinity and beautiful tension. The texture is silky, the aging discreet, and the finish long and vibrant.
