The Poissenot Premier Cru is located on the northern slope of Gevrey-Chambertin, above Clos Saint-Jacques, on limestone soils that lend tension and finesse to Pinot Noir. The Humbert brothers craft here a wine of remarkable purity, balance and length.
The 2018 vintage, warm and generous, is tamed with precision. Aromas of blackcurrant, wild blackberry, white pepper and crushed stone rise from the glass. The palate is full yet lively, supported by fine tannins and a long, mineral finish. A poised and expressive Burgundy Premier Cru, ideal for cellaring.
