The Niederösterreich, or Lower Austria, is the largest wine region in Austria, located north and east of Vienna, along the Danube. It covers about 60% of Austria's vineyards and is home to several iconic terroirs renowned for their dry white terroir wines, particularly Grüner Veltliner and Riesling.
